Hmm, ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’. Sounds like a challenge, but before I get into the ‘meat and potatoes’ of my reply, I’ve got a question for you.
If you said Trust, then we’re on the same page. Pretty sure there isn’t much debate around that belief from customers or business owners. Full transparency, my agency wants to be your preferred and ONLY Travel Concierge--for life 🙂. That's a tall order, but we've proven it can be done. I believe knowledge, experience, and passion for travel is exhibited in every conversation I have with a current or perspective client, but talk is cheap. Our actions are what demonstrates what we're really made of, so I do in fact put my money where my mouth is. How? Let me break it down for you. It's no secret that the travel profession is commissioned based; typically, a fixed percentage set by the supplier (e.g., resort, cruise line, etc.). 1. Ensure all available discounts (e.g., military, first responders, returning guests, etc.) are applied to the booking. 2. Monitor--yes, actively monitor--our suppliers for any new discounts or credits that our 'already booked' clients can take advantage of. Once the credit is confirmed with the supplier and our client agrees to any required changes, the cost savings is applied. It’s standard for some suppliers to reduce agent commissions when discounts are applied—during the initial booking or after. A savings for our clients often mean a significant drop in compensation--but it's worth it to earn your trust because we believe loyalty follows. You’re probably wondering why the above points are such a big deal. Well, to enlighten you even further, travel agencies are not compelled to pass credits to their clients.
